My mother is participating in a free online dating service that she found online, and Ifeel that itis a great thing for her to do. She has been single for a while now, and she is starting to get lonely. I don't want her to be lonely anymore, and she needs someone to talk to and to do things with. She is a very strong person, she tries to hide the fact that she is lonely because she doesn't want to be a bother to me or my brother, at least that is what she says. I tell her that she isn't a problem.

Christopher was not having a great deal of luck dating women lately. It seemed that everyone he met came with all sorts of baggage and drama. Ex-boyfriends, ex-husbands, unhappy children, unrewarding jobs... weren't there any upbeat single people anymore? Sure, Christopher had his own share of ups and downs but he really felt that injecting a little passion into his life might make those that much more bearable.

Do you think dating men on an online dating site seems to desperate? I ask this because when I told my roommate that I have signed up on one of these sites, she said it was being desperate. I don't agree with her at all. I think dating men that you meet on these dating sites is a good thing. It's a great way to meet single guys. Even if it is just a brief encounter, or just one date, it's getting yourself out there to be noticed and seen. Not to mention way more safe than going to bars to meet men. At least you have a chance to get to know them a little better before actually meeting them.

I was sitting with my best friend in our favorite restaurant trying to catch up with all the details of our lives that we have missed since the last time we saw each other. We haven't seen each other in 5 years. We have of course talked on the phone but haven't actually seen each other. She has flown in from Florida to visit for the weekend. We had so much to talk about, I didn't know where to start.

I had never been one to have dated much to be completely honest. I did not really see much point in dating, especially on-line dating. I believed dating should be abolished. It was not needed and I did not think it helped people find love, or maybe it did, just not for me. Perhaps I did not like dating because dating for me had never been much of a success, or perhaps I just knew that I wanted to find somebody important to me another way.

One thing that I like about Internet dating is the privacy. You don't have to get dressed, wash your face or do your hair. All you need is you. I hope to set up a couple of dates for this week-end, one for lunch and one for dinner. I'm not looking for anything serious from my potential dates other than a good time. I'm too young right now to take Internet dating too serious. I like the fact that even when I feel alone I'm not. In the morning while having my morning coffee I check my email on the Internet dating site as well as my personal email account. For a few of the young ladies that I have met on the site and have been talking to for a while I have given my personal account number, it makes the internet dating a little more personal. I usually like to choose women that are a lot like myself. Free spirits just going through this thing called life and having a good time doing it. At twenty three the main thing that is on my mind is making a few millions before forty. I intend to live a very wealthy life and getting into too serious a relationship right now would only cause a distraction.

Kelly was recently single. She decided that men were too much hassle and that she wanted to stay single. She wanted to keep her life dating free. After a week of dating free life, she got abit bored. She was determined to stick to her decision though, and went to her friends for help. Her friends decided to take her out clubbing for the night. "It will distract you!" said one friend. "Yeah, and you can't be bored if we're at a club!" said another. Kelly smiled "Alright then, but remember that I'm having a new dating free life! No boys!" Her friends agreed with her, and they all went off to put their clubbing clothes on. Two hours later they arrived at the club. After queueing for nearly another hour, they eventually got inside. "I'm just going to get us all some drinks" shouted Kelly above the music to her friends. "Alright" they shouted back, "We'll be over there!" they pointed to a corner where there were less people, and the friends split up. As Kelly was making her way to the bar, she accidentally bumped into a guy holding two drinks. One of them spilled over her, and she gasped as the coldness seeped through her thin dress. "Oh no! I'm so sorry love!" shouted the guy. "Here, let me get that for you". He started dabbing at her dress with a napkin he found. "No no, thank you, its alright" she stammered and tried to move away from him. They guy stopped and apologised all over again and looked concerned at her. Kelly was looking around for an escape route. She wouldn't be trying to escape normally, as the guy was gorgeous. She was keen to get away from him this time though in case she was tempted to ruin her new dating free lifestyle. As she looked round, she saw her friends coming towards her. "Ooh who's this?!" asked one of her friends, as the other one gave Kelly an annoying look. "Is he going to dance with you?" she asked Kelly. "Yes I am" said the guy, before Kelly had a chance to answer. "It's the least I could do to say sorry" he said, looking down at her with his big brown eyes. Before Kelly knew what was happening, her friends were dragging her and the guy to the dance floor. They danced together for an hour, and by the end of it, Kelly had her head happily resting on the guys chest. He gently peeled her off him, and told her that he had to go now. She guiltily let go of him, and thanked him for being her dance partner. He smiled at her, tucked a piece of paper into her hand while giving her a hug. "See you again" he said, flashing her a gorgeous smile. Her friends laughed at her as she starred at his retreating back. "So much for staying dating free!" they laughed.

Gina had been on dating site after dating site. She was just about to give up when she met Luke. From the first time she saw his picture, she was struck by his stunning blue eyes. Luke had eyes that conveyed a sense of gentleness that Gina was looking for.
